Summer: It’s the perfect time for family bonding, you’re out of school, your parents have the Holy Week free, and are probably itching to spend a few days of their vacation leave to have fun and relax. Since it’s also that time of year when most families travel to far off places in order to make some fantastic memories, we’re here to help make that trip truly memorable for you and your family.
Where do you want to go?
In order to make this decision, you also have to ask yourself (and your family) what you want to do in this vacation. Do you want to see a place that’s completely different from home? Ride some roller coasters? Eat exotic food? If you have these questions answered, then it’s easier to pick a place to go.
Have you picked a place yet? Great! Then it’s time to do some research. We live in an age where information is available with just a click of a button! So, take out your phones or your laptops for all the info you need.
Book your flight and accommodations!
This is the part that your parents will most likely take care of, so rest easy and let the adults figure this out.
Yes, there are so many things you possibly need for this trip that it feels a bit overwhelming trying to figure out what to bring, and what to leave behind. While, you don’t need to bring your entire house with you, try to bring some extra clothes and enough toiletries. And remember, bring things that’ll also help you enjoy the trip, like your iPod or a good book. (ALSO: NEVER FORGET YOUR PASSPORT!)
Remember to be at the airport early! There’ll likely be less people in line at the check-ins, and you’ll grab a good seat (preferably next to a socket!) while you wait for your flight. But don’t go overboard, like being at the airport at 5am when your flight leaves at 10pm, okay? That’s just weird.
If you’re able to travel this summer, that’s fantastic! Cherish the moments with your loved ones, and make some unforgettable memories. Once you come back, you can always join the Summer Standout Camp at JRP.
